spent monday at shane's place doing preparation for the WBA Show and Tell .
let me tell you . PDA's are not the way to go . especially older one's .
than again . thats the problem with technology. it gets old . it gets outdated . it's out .
essentially that's all we did on monday.




back to island creamery...
like after me liana and ht tried the apple pie last week ... we were hooked onto it ...
so we all wanted to get the apple pie again ... BUTTTT
they ran out of apple pie T.T
but not before liana,xia and zhen got their hands on the last few scoops T.T
i ended up with ping pong milo and chendol ...
the ping pong milo is kinda like rocky road ... with all those marshmallows ... i thought the marshmallows were overdone though ...








you want it so much that you'll do anything to keep it yours.

i've come to realize . the thing i want most.

is to keep the smiles on the faces of those around me.

for now. nothing can be more important.

Wisp class was pretty fun actually ... all the gay jokes notwithstanding ... hahahaha

the WISP assignment is .... ogod ... but lets take it one step at a time eh ?

AA is still pretty interesting at this point in time ... damn ...
this stuff is going straight to the GK bank !!

after IS ended ... went to OurSpace at 72 to work on the long overdue OIAP video ...
meh ... it's still nowhere near completion ... i am just such a procrastinator ...

ht and shane was nice enough to accompany me
esp ht who came back a second time ...

had our first even tutorial of the semester ...
combined with workshop ...

nearly died stoning ...

bright side was that after that was NOTHING !!!

MIS e-lecture ...

ended up at convention basement discussing tutorials *this sem seems filled with grp tuts*
and projects ... which have come in damn bloody early this sem ...

went home for dinner ...

started on a little project ...

fell asleep at 2am


wednesday 221008

woke up to see this horrifying timetable of

2x blocks of 3 hours tutorial + workshop combined ...

ok . frankly ... my mind is not focused yet ... it's getting there ... but slowly ...

so it was 3 hours of (o.O) (-.-") and (=.=)

followed by lunch in canteen 1 which btw ... as of now ... is expensive ... crowded and the standard of food has dropped . gosh .

given half a choice . i wouldn't eat here for lunch .
but i have no choice on wednesdays and thursdays.
damnit .

after lunch was two hours of (._.) (<.<) and (!_!)
cause there wasn't much to go through for that module
honestly i was playing solitaire for most of the lesson ...
but thats not important (:

after class ended ...
went to ourspace to prep the tutorial presentation for tmr ... actually later today ...
met one of my cousins ... she's in BFS year one ... talked with her for a little while ...

found ahmad at some corner ... ended up while supposedly taking care of his stuff ... transported all his stuff to our corner and ending up crapping ... haha...

dude ... missed all our antics from the sem before man ...

after finishing our crapping i mean discussion , liana left ...

and we went had an impromtu ...

which i believe i learnt nothing ... =s

went to makan dinner at Al Ahzar ... man ... they've gone high tech !
but the food still remains good ...

yesterday was a great day to have slept ... what with the rain and all ...
but alas work beckoned ... and so work was done ...

met up with ks and johnnie for our weekly chillout session
next week back to badminton finally !

went to vjc's makan place of choice ThaiPan ... but apparently cause the branch conveniently located at Mandarin Gardens was closed for some reason or other ... and ks and johnnie found out that what ... they moved to Changi Village ... we went to Changi Village .

I KID YOU NOT .

The ends of the earth never seemed furthur.
Well to be fair ... the bus ride didn't seem that long anyway ...

Dinner was not too bad actually , quite worth the travel there , and the prices : portion ratio was actually quite good.

I wouldn't mind going there again guys !
If that outlet is permanent ... which i hope it is ...
Quite a good place to have makan than go for a nice walk ...
But the place was erm ... quite family ... all the tables were for like 8 or more people ...
It looked quite weird with 3 of us at one huge table ...
Somehow dinner topic was about our days in vsChoir and our seniors and what not ...
Haha ... we had a head-scratcher of a time trying to remember our seniors ...

Took a walk along Changi Beach ...
as usual talking a mix of issues troubling us ...
as well as pure bullshit ...
in the way only vs guys know how ...

i noticed that most times ... when talking with others ...
it's always either an entirely serious matter or an entirely bullshit matter
when it gets too serious perhaps a light joke is thrown in or something but thats about it ...
but that's another issue

ks and johnnie insisted we walk to the SAF Ferry Terminal .
ended up talking about NS ...
they kept telling me about their BMT day's on Tekong ...
and such ...
Looking at the Recruits getting off the buses , falling in and preparing to board the ferries to Tekong ... it suddenly struck me that just next year ... I will be in their shoes ...

Quite sobering that thought . Not that i even touched any alcohol .

Caught a bus to Pasir Ris , while ks and johnnie kept going on about NS life ...
Thoughts I've never seriously thought of, start to form in my head ...

+ 1 to my list of worries ...

Turns out i have a direct bus from pasir ris to my house ... woots ... just found that out last night too ...

lost my chain of thoughts ... i'ma end here ...





sudden urge to go jog ... and so i did ...
i'm in my worst physical shape in months and i know it ...
i'm always in bed ... sleeping even though i'm not tired from anything ...

felt alright for the first 1+ klick or so ... than literally fell apart ...

didn't even bother to see how long i took for the 3.2klicks
should be around 20mins ?
which sucks.

the one at marine parade is really excellent though a tad far for the short amount of time i have to lepak there ...

school's started . it's the end of the chillin . damnit all .

that's why i'm cranky . i want my chill time .





it's whether you choose to go with it ... or just come to a standstill ...
of course it's not as easy as it seems ... to just go with the flow ...
after all we are human ... we have these things called emotions ...
and these emotions sometimes overrule all things we would call rational ...

than went to school ...

i have no idea whats with everyone being in school so early today ...

3pm lecture got people there as early as 11am ?

had lunch at megabites ... with ht , perl , liana and jess ...

lecture was actually quite interesting and we have a very interesting lecturer who happens to be tutors to all the three classes ...

oh and did i mention this module is 50% e-learning ... hehe ... cool stuff ...

got back home ... spent the entire evening chatting with people ... checking out a few things ...
doing very little actually ...

very soon ... i guess i'll be lucky to even have the time to do all this slacking ...

tomorrow's an off day ... no lectures ... and week one is solely lectures ...

just finished this book ... and i must say ... it's a truly inspirational book ...

it inspires , it teaches and it touches ... i almost cried ...

it makes you think back on what you've done ... and really treasure the memories ...
it makes you think about what you're doing with your life ...
it makes you reflect on what you've been doing with your life ...

the lessons are there ... it's just how you want to interpret it ...

life is really too short ... we should really appreciate it ... and live our dreams

the way we really want too ...

this afternoon was the first day back in school ...

two lessons ... World Issues ; A Singapore Perspective and Appreciating Art .

Both were rather light ... and they finished wayyyyyyy before their times ...

WISP was 90mins including ice-breakers ... and 17 mins worth of Mind Your Language ... hehe ... loved that show when it was on TV last time.

AA was ever shorter ... 42 mins by my watch .

I actually really hope to learn something from both this modules ... especially Art ...
It would be a very very good conversational topic i reckon ...

chilled with HT in the canteen while he killed time waiting for his friends ...
talked about the stuff that's been going through our lives ...
man ... the 2.5 years ride we've had so far in poly ...
has had its share of ups and downs ...
and the emotions we've all experienced ...
from the very pits of despair ...
to the very highs upon the mountain top ...

i wouldn't change anything i've done
and
i wouldn't trade anything in the world for the time i've spent with everyone this 2.5 years ...

to a very memorial last semester for all of us

in fact as i type this ... some people i know are already in school for IS modules ...
8am classes ... =(

i got this lovely lovely 1pm class later *rolls eyes* oh and a 3pm class too *double rolls eyes*
oh and that ends at 5pm in time for rush hour . i'm so gonna dig out my psp . i swear .
or i can buy more books .

damn . i so need a job to support my book buying habits . and my lifestyle =d .
of course i feel like downgrading lar ...
what with the recession ...
more teh tarik at the coffee shop ...
less starbucks, coffee bean, coffee club and tcc *heartbreaks*
oh wells ... better start saving after the crazy amount i've spent in the last few months ...

spent ytd afternoon chillin out with ks and johnnie ... was supposed to go for a run by ks got flu ...

walked to ecp from parkway ... played german bridge at ecp ...

damn it was such a good day to be at the beach ...

quite a good skill ... being able to cook and prepare meals ...
this is one skill i'd want to hone :)

i'm happy that both things that have happened have happened and things that did not happen ... well did not happen lar ... i'd like to thank my brain for being in control and not letting me do stupid things that might escalate things out of control ... thank god .

more often than not ... things are mostly still within our control ... it's just up to us to gather the mental strength and willpower to carry them out . failure is not the end of the road .

oh and it was graduation day for the sec 4's the day we went back ... they were all dressed in their formal clothes ... jeez ... can still remember the day we graduated ... we just saw a video, although quite meaningful, in the auditorium and had a hotdog bread and drink at the canteen ... such a ripoff ...

after like saying hi to like a gazillion people ... but hey ... to be honest the girls were quite cute =d
we finally left vjc to my huge huge huge relief ...

kinda expected lar ... it was a friday ...

but it was full and we had to wait for a lane ...

but the wait wasn't that long ... hehe ...
but games sure were ex !! ... two games + shoes 10 bucks T.T

gone are the days i remember paying 1.50 per game and playing till my hand dropped off without burning a hole in my pocket ... *burns*

wednesday passed by in one heck of a hurry man ...
read books, watched die hard 4.0 again, and chilled to music ...
and cooked !!

lunch of instant pasta for me my sis and bro was prepared by me
had to cook 3 times cause all had different flavours ... LOL

dinner was also prepared by me ... with the exception of the vege dish =p
mmmm ... maybe i'll go try making a vege dish ... but ... what are the odds ?
hehe ...

first dish was easy ...
deep fried salmon parts ...
i did mention parts right ?
all the funny parts that CAN be eaten just filled with bones T.T
mummy kinda took the wrong bag of salmon out ... lol ...
think it was supposed to be a bag of salmon parts for soup =x

second dish was relatively easy ...
grilled chicken fillets ... with a weird combination of marinates ...
still experimenting here =p
but hey , it turned out fine !
quite glad the taste came out fine ...
and that i grilled both sides to a more or less nice colour and texture
and my brother literally ate more than half of the chicken meant for 5 of us ... tsk ...
although i do take that as a compliment =d

third dish was Hong Xiu Tofu ...
my way !
this dish was troublesome cause the egg tofu had to be deep fried first ...
and did i mention tofu like cui very easily ?
the previous time i made this ... it cui until ... cui lor ...
pan fried the tofu that time though ...
anyway ... tried a different combination of sauces for the gravy ...
turned out pretty good if i say so myself =D
and the liquid egg topping was better than last time ...
but i still overdid it ...
shouldn't have cooked the egg that long ... just throw the egg in ... stir abit than serve liao ...
oh wells ...

went to funan to check out stuff ... chilled at TCC again ... lol .. in the past month i've gone to TCC at least once a week ... and i thought my fav coffee was a toss up between starbucks and coffeebean ... but hell ... tcc is a better place to chill i guess ... sofas <3 ... my house sofa is piled with stuff like forever ... and no air-con =(

went to nydc at heeren to meet up with the rest for wanxia and jess bday dinner ...

i took nearly the whole bloody morning to fill in the documentation and i didn't even fill it in completely ... i friggin can't be bothered ... they don't even have all the options that should be available to reflect your information . meh . they just want us in there to serve our time larr .. zzz
this is in a chunk cause i'm ranting ...

did somemore reading ... instead of working ... tsk ... so tired of extra work ... it's like no one else cares anyway ...

still deciding whether to go for the India field trip ... it's so fucking ex ... meeeeeeeeeh ...
and we're going fly indian airlines and stay in a budget hotel ... T.T
1.8k . man i'd rather go somewhere else ...
not to mention the paper work and extra reports and projects that will come in for sure.
and god knows what other sai kang i always tio for events and trips like this ...
i'm a magnet for extra work T.T

and just like that the weekend's gone lar ... been quite a weekend ...

yet all i've done was just to chill out ... heh ...

met up with zhi xiong and roy on saturday ... jeremy was supposed to meet up to ... but he last min pangseh ... tsk tsk ...

surprisingly for the first time in a long long time ... everyone got there roughly on time ...
so that was cool ...

went to some thai restaurant that zx thought was not bad ... the food was okok lar ... but the price was crazy ... i'd rather go thai express next time ... lol ...

walked back to bugis and ended up at TCC ... chilled there for a quite a while ...
and than i got outvoted on choice of activity ... so ...

ended up going to my place for mahjong and german bridge ... lol ..

played till 10+ ... from 5+ mind you .... tsk ...

haha, but it sure was carefree chillin ...


met up with ks and johnnie for our usual sunday badminton game ... my dad came along as our 4th player josh is once again ... in camp ... poor dude =/

two hours + of badminton later ... we were all rather shag ... my dad went home first ...
ks, johnnie and i chilled at some void deck playing german bridge ...

heh ... if only we could chill out likethat more ... but ... life is not one big chillout session eh ...

and it's just one more week to school ... how cool is that ...

oh and ns pre-enlistment registration starts from today ... HOW COOL IS THAT ...

and the OIAP video is supposed to be done by today ... wow ...

and so many other things i just can't be bothered about ...

and it's already saturday ... or so the clock declares ...

and just like that another day is gone ~

was supposed to meet ht for the converse sale at like lunch time ...
but knowing his rubber time ... not surprised that i only met him at 4+ ...
caught a bus down to the converse sale ... meh ... saw some shoes i'd wanna get ...
but nothing really caught my eye ... so disappointing ...
lol ...

caught a bus to parkway ... dragging ht along ... haha ...
been eons since i've been there ... brings back lots of memories ...
killed time walking around the place ...

caught a bus to bedok and again dragging poor ht along ... to meet ks , johnnie and joshua ...
i dragged ht along cause i'd wanted someone to talk to while killing time ... and being the great friend he is accompanied me till the others came ...

than comes our indecisive choice on where to head for dinner ...
everyone wanted to go to a different place ...
decided to take 16 and head to siglap ...
the bus driver took a wrong turn ... lol ...
but we still got there in one piece lar ...

than still can't decide where to go ... zzz ...
so i said ok flip a coin ... which i did and we went to cafe cartel ...

when we got in ... someone said lets go airport !
than someone else went ... oh ya ahhh ... so we'd changed plans again lar ...
and than ... someone else say ehhh come in dun order anything like not nice leh ...
so we orderd ice-cream ... and while waiting for the ice-cream ... we went to take the free bread ..
lol ... such cheap people we are ...

left and made our way to the airport via bus number 36
took a walk to to our alma mater - vs - and ran to catch the bus to the airport ... LOL

reached the airport ... and guess what ... no one pressed the bell for T3 and the bus only stopped at T2 ... lols ...

took the skytrain to T3 ...

went to the Earl's Swenson at the Viewing Mall ... food was not too bad ... service was pretty much okay too ... salad bar could be improved though ...

after dinner was walking towards the supermarket when ... it's a small world strikes and we bump into a group of ppl composed of a multitude of pasts ... hahaha ... han teng and ann siong my sec sch classmates and xin yi my pri classmate ...
well they were classmates in vjc ... haha ...

not forgetting josh was also my pri sch classmate ...
so everyone is like surprised that we know each other and all that ... lol ...
like i said ... small world ... hehe

stood there updating each other on where everyone's now ... asking and giving info and everyone .. but of course we couldn't stand there forever right ...

so we broke up the pretty much unanticipated reunion ... LOL
we really must meet up soon ... see how everyone's doing ...

caught 24 from the airport home ...

alright ... gonna catch some zzz's

the weekend is here wooooooooo ... finally gonna get outta the house ...

think i've spent one of the worst weeks at home ever ...
i didn't do anything productive at all ...
i hardly talked to anyone ...

i let my thoughts run rampant ...
i thought nothing but this huge pile of negative thoughts ...
and the sad thing is ... i still believe that these thoughts can't be far from the truth ...
i still stand by what i've decided i guess ...
unless something happens and changes everything again ...

but that won't happen ... and i'm not going to delude myself ... again ...

been toying with the idea of removing msn ...
anything you needa contact me about ... there's always the phone ...

i've never really liked the idea of talking to people when i can't see their expressions ...
like over msn ... you kinda give people the idea that you're something you're not ...
there's only so much you can express through words that are just that ...
words ...

i've always prefered to meet people face to face ... to get a feel of what they are really talking about ... and to see if there's anything there to generate chemistry be it friendship or more ...
sometimes i think people engage in conversations online just to kill boredem ...

and i'm a pretty boring person to talk to unless you're into the same things as me ... which is so rare ... it's like if i could find someone who shared my interests ... it'd be like striking lottery or something ... my music tastes vary so much ... but i have this interest for oldies that is pretty much rare among people among my generation ... i enjoy reading ... but rarely mainstream stuff ... to date i haven't read a single Harry Potter book ...

well i'm not going to talk about it no more ... i sense people already bored to death ...

the whole family was kinda thrown into shock when we found out that one of my cousins had broke his arm ... and the thing was ... he broke it LAST week ... like last thursday ... but we all only found out yesterday ... poor limyi ...

apparently he was celebrating post-prelims by playing bball with his friends ... than while snatching for the ball in game ... boom ...

so he's got a shattered elbow ... and he still managed to tahan the pain ... went to chinese sinseh first than went home ... needless to say he ended up in hospital the next day lar ...

but gist of the important point is this dude has got A Levels coming up lar ... and because he's a throughtrain ... he has no O's ... damn man ...

ahh dude ... sorry we can't do much ... but we can only pray hard for a speedy recovery ...
