so near yet so far
and yet another week has passed ...
though time seemed to never move while on Tekong ,
truth is time did move , and the weekend has come yet again ...
although yet again ,
i've not planned for anything this weekend cause in camp ,
you've only got time to think about what's tomorrow or just not thinking at all ...
the moon over Tekong has been beautiful this past week ,
bright , round and oh so near.
an inspiration for a poem , truly.
so near ; yet so fara night like this, many there are not.with the moon so near, and the stars so bright.the sound of waves crashing, the flocks of birds flying.upon this island,we call tekong
.i sit and wonder ,while the others yabber
.i think of you,like i've
always had.i remember once, when looking up.the night sky that i see, would the sunny skies you bask under.you were so far,yet so near.now whenever i look up,the night sky that i see,is the same night sky you gaze upon, yet somehow it's different now.you are so near, yet so far.what separates
us,will forever be time, and space.i am here, and you are there.though we're both here,in our Singapore,it feels more like,i'm somewhere far away.so near, yet so far.i guess by now , most of my readers have disappeared
just as most of the people i used to talk to have disappeared
it's not unusual , it's just life.
people just move on.
i guess i have sort of come to terms with it.
than again, i'm too tired to even bother.
much as i miss the times gone by.
their just that.
times gone by.
the past week has been a very very tiring one.
by far the most tiring one so far.
and it can only get worst.
started off with a route march on Monday.
3+ Klick's , we estimated closer to 4 cause OC took us on an extended march through School 1.
FBO without Long 4.
It felt good as we were still fresh from the weekend.
Tuesday had AC again,
and the last BCCT lesson.
Which was really a "test" of all that we learned.
The rundown really really intense, and burned us all.
It was that tiring !
Wednesday was Day 1 of IFC.
Welcome to the Jungle they said.
Put on Camo for the first time.
Not a completely enjoyable experience.
It was pretty much like something out of Army Daze.
Sgt Alex just said , you have 10 mins to go into the Jungle , and put all sorts of leaves and whatshit on yourself.
Than all hell broke loose.
It was really quite funny !
Learnt about Group Fire and Movement ,
was rather interesting , something more "Army" to most of our school of thoughts.
but for all that , it was DAMN TIRING.
and we would have done more training if not for a CAT 1 ! xD
Had a lesson on Field Signals after that in the comfort of a training shed ! ^^
Thursday was Day 2 of IFC ,
Spent the morning learning to build a basha,
followed by Ranging and Arc of Fire.
Spent the afternoon in the light Jungle following Sgt Alex through the outskirts of the jungle practicing Field Signals , it was damn funny when Zi Li "Hollanded" and led a section worth of men in the wrong direction.
Again , training ended rather quickly due to another CAT 1 .
But we're all praying for ZERO Cat 1's during our field camp.
Today we had route march again , 4 klick's with the same FBO without Long 4.
This time for some reason, it was even more tiring than Monday's route march.
Perhaps our bodies are already dead tired from a week's worth of activity.
Today is also bookout day and PAY DAY !! (:
But other than that . Life sucks.
i want nobody, nobody but you.but you don't know that, do you.
