time waits for no man
and that quickly , a four day break is coming to an end ...
what have i done this couple of days ?
not much of what i actually set out to do ... heh ...
promised myself that i would sort my photos out ... never did get around to that ...
maybe i'll do a rush job later ...
thursday
went for my very first MRI scan for my lower back in the morning.
it's an experience that I wouldn't like to repeat any time soon.
had to wear that silly gown again , and frankly the first time for my x-ray
i already hated it
this time was worse ... had to walk quite a distance in it ...
being loaded onto the MRI machine feels like you're being loaded onto a coffin.
and as the "bed" I was lying on moved slowly into the MRI ...
i felt a sudden panic attack and extremely claustrophobic ...
i calmed myself down my thinking happy thoughts ...
and tried to fall asleep ...
but just as i was about to fall asleep , the sound of drills and other construction equipment filled my head . through the ear plugs ... and when i opened my eyes , all i saw was the top of the MRI machine less than 3 inches from my face ...
eventually i managed to drift back to sleep and before i know it , the scan was over ...
it sure felt like forever ...
later that afternoon , went for an interview at SIT for the UNLV course , Hotel Administration.
on a side note , i'd just like to say , i'm glad that my friends think i'm good enough for SMU , but alas i didn't apply this year .
anyway , felt the usual interview panic , but after it started , everything was easy .
after so long away from the academic world , it felt good to be intellectual again .
in comparison to the SMU interview for Social Science i took last year , SIT's interview was much much easier and alot less stressful.
it was a group interview and the other candidates i felt were all rather unsure of themselves , or to put it simply i was overly confident.
not sure if i'll get the offer , but if i do , it's NUS vs SIT.
much debate with my friends over the choice i should make , but the NUS course i have right now , is hardly what i really what. the UNLV@SIT course is much closer to what i'd like to do.
had i applied for and gotten SMU ; SMU vs SIT would be a very very touch decision.
but heh, for the heck of it , i'll just apply SMU next year.
went home and for the first time in close to a year ?
i cooked dinner , grilled chicken and minced meat with tofu .
and my mum cooked the vege's cause vege = not my thing.
friday
went to catch My Rainy Day's at Cine with SJ .
quite a good movie , but most of you people are just gonna say it's not something you wanna catch ... i'm just the hopeless romantic and i enjoyed it <3
was supposed to go shooting after that , but it rained in the evening .
again ... the weather's been hopelessly rainy these days , and humid as hell ...
and it always doesn't rain when i'm not in the mood to head out to shoot ... grrrrrr
saturday
hanged out with ks and johnnie
was supposed to go bowling , but we didn't.
ended up doing nothing much the entire day , except move from one place to another
we did catch The Bounty Hunter , it was ok la. way better than the average chick flick.
chilled at Cafe Cartel till they chased us out .... heh

lazed around.
